Follow the Procedure below to reset the printer
The Canon Pixma MP470 Printer
- Disconnect the power cable from power outlet
- Press and Hold On/Off button
- Connect the power cable
- Continue holding on/off button, press the Stop/Reset button twice.
- Release the On/Off button
- Printer is now in factory mode
- Press the right arrow button until Shipping Mode 3 is displayed
- Press the OK Button
- Wait until Without Cleaning is displayed
- Press the Stop/Reset button
- A sample test page print
- Open the cover
- Unplug power cable
- Remove cartridges
- Close the cover
- Connect power cable
- Press On/Off button
- Wait until a Replace Cartridges message is displayed
- Insert the cartridges
- Wait until the printer is operating in its normal mode
