Brother MFC-5440CN Error Code 46, this error indicate that your printer need to reset it's counter.
Follow the instruction below
Follow the instruction below
- Press menu then*2864 within 2 seconds and press 80.
- Keep pressing black/mono start button until screen displays ‘purge count’.
- Press 2783 to reset purge count.
- Press stop/exit key
- Press 99
- The printer should return to normal
